French Cuff Shirt

Double cuff shirts is a classic item of clothing which has transcended fashion trends and well worth its investment as it is stylish and and is always stylish.

Firstly choose a classic power look with a dark, although not black, in gray or navy.  The French cuff shirt should have a solid color perhaps blue or white, with a smooth finish.  The French cuffs should be a traditional square, and the cufflinks understated - gold or sterling silver - whichever you choose match your watch and belt buckle with them.

Find a look which is trim and fits well.   The shirt should have a wing collar preferably and of course with a bow tie.  A square shaped traditional French cuff with a link hole in a forward position should be chosen.  If possible use an heirloom, vintage, and elegant cufflinks is preferred for a formal occasion.

Double Cuff Shirts: For night out

It is not true that the French cuff shirt is for  special or dressing up occasions only.  For instance by shortening the sleeve by 1.25inches you can wear the French cuff unfolded.  Worn with a sports jacket or light color suit achieves a "letting loose" look, however it needs a well tailored suit to avoid looking sloppy.
